CPS-002 version 2.0 is in effect as of today, 01/01/2024. This is an update that aligns the training policy with the amendments made to CPS-001 for GCAP.
Changes of note include:
Self-monitored training no longer exists in its previous forms. Solo endorsements only exist in conjunction with rating training (i.e. a solo for Oakland Tower while still S1 rated)
All exams are now completion based. After the first attempt, controllers will be shown with the answers they got right and wrong. Controllers must then submit corrections to ta@oakartcc.org (a website feature to ease this process is a work in progress), with references & explanations for any questions they answered incorrectly. Only upon approval of the corrections will the exam be considered complete - if a controller receives a 100% on the first attempt, then they are not required to submit corrections.
The training flow has been updated to match the new GCAP endorsements (see image below)
