The Pacific Oceanic LOA for ZAK has been updated effective 23 AUG 22 0200 UTC. This update adds the VATJPN and VATMEX oceanic sectors, clarifies some language around permitted controllers and certification, and corrected some typos.
The LOA now clarifies that a PO shall conduct their oceanic training on their own sectors before controllers are allowed to branch out to other facilities, and it clarifies that a controller does not need to visit the other PO's if their home Division is part of the agreement. Additionally, VATJPN and VATMEX Oceanic airspace is now available for permitted controllers to begin controlling.
With this LOA released we will begin working on a new ZAK SOP and training program to compliment it.
